Picking up the guitar at a very early age, Terry Lauderdale was heavily influenced by such guitar greats as Dave Meniketti, Jimmy Page, Neal Schon, Michael Shenker, Uli Roth, Randy Rhoads, Pat Travers, George Lynch and of course Edward Van Halen.

Soon after discovering that he could play just about any song he set his sights on, Terry went on to form his first rock band and was performing at his High School during lunch breaks. During his High School years, Terry studied classical guitar where he became a tutor in his School's guitar program. He then went on to perform in classical guitar competitions throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.

By the age of 18, Terry caught the attention of hard rockers Sabotage who recruited the young guitarist for the lead guitar position and was soon burning up the stages at local venues such as The Old Waldorf, The Keystone Clubs (San Francisco, Berkeley and Palo Alto) and On Broadway (San Francisco).

Sabotage also opened for such national acts as the Joe Perry Project, Johnny Winter, Roger Fisher (ex-Heart) and face melting rockers - Yesterday & Today. Sabotage made regular appearances at the now infamous punk mecca Mabuhay Gardens and rocked the stage at The Old Waldorf's "Metal Mondays".

Terry then moved on to join forces with Carl Socco (Heathen/Murder), Bob Clic (The Lewd/Murder) and Dane Petersen (BloodBath) to form the thrash metal band Die Sieger. Die Sieger started out in the rough and tumble world of the early 80's Bay Area Thrash Metal scene opening for metal heavyweights Slayer, Megadeth and metal pioneers Blue Cheer. Die Sieger jammed in the now legendary Metallica "Kill 'em All" show at Mabuhay Gardens in 1984. In rehearsals prior to that show, Terry had the privilege of meeting the late Metallica bassist Cliff Burton(R.I.P.). Die Sieger also had the honor of performing with movie mock stars Spinal Tap at Bill Graham's Wolfgang's nightclub when the infamous movie premiered in 1984. Die Sieger also shared the bill with Bay Area thrash kings Exodus and Suicidal Tendencies at the "Eastern Front" Metal Festival at Aquatic Park in Berkeley.
Later that year, Terry joined the hard rock outfit Champion, which received major label attention in the mid-eighties and has recorded numerous demo tapes at Fantasy Studios (Berkeley, CA) and The Record Plant (Sausalito, CA).

During the late 80's and into the early 90's, Terry performed with a variety of solo artists and can be heard on numerous demo recordings, including a band with the current Sammy Hagar bassist, Mona Gnader.

In 1996, Terry formed Acid Tongue and recorded a CD featuring a remake of the classic Sugar Loaf song "Green Eyed Lady", which received national radio airplay.
In 1999, Terry formed HOT FOR TEACHER. Soon after playing live, HOT FOR TEACHER quickly caught the attention of local club goers, gaining a following of loyal Van Halen fanatics and has been recognized by NorCalVH (Northern California Van Halen Internet group) and Brad Starks (Van Halen's Webmaster).

In May of 2003, HOT FOR TEACHER was invited to perform for Michael Anthony's bass guitar dedication at San Francisco's Hard Rock Cafe. During that evening, The Mighty Van Halen bassist joined the band on stage. The already raucous crowd shifted into overdrive as Michael and the boys ripped through an energized set featuring "Women In Love", "Unchained", "Dance The Night Away", "Panama", "Mean Street", "Outta Love Again", and "Ain't Talkin' 'bout Love".

To date, HOT FOR TEACHER has performed for thousands of rabid Van Halen fanatics and at countless venues throughout Northern/Southern California, Nevada, Arizona, Washington, Oregon and Colorado. In between his hectic HOT FOR TEACHER schedule, Terry also performs with classic rock cover band Fast Eddie and continues to write original material for his all original metal/hard rock band, Acid Tongue.

Terry exclaims, "Playing with HOT FOR TEACHER has been a blast and we look forward to rockin' out well into the future!"
